Billynr Ltd is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing and financial crime. This policy summarises the controls we apply to every account, in line with applicable anti-money-laundering regulation.
Every customer must verify their identity before accessing full platform limits. Verification requires a valid government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID or driving licence — for Bangladesh residents, a National ID/NID card) and a recent proof of address (utility bill or bank statement, issued within the last three months). Documents are reviewed by our operations team, and accounts remain limited until verification is approved.
We monitor transactions and trading activity for unusual patterns, including structuring, rapid pass-through of funds, use of accounts by third parties, and activity inconsistent with a customer's profile. Flagged activity is investigated and may result in delayed transactions, requests for additional information, or account suspension.
Customers are screened at onboarding and on an ongoing basis against applicable sanctions lists and for politically exposed person (PEP) status. We do not provide services to sanctioned individuals or entities, or to residents of prohibited jurisdictions.
For larger deposits or where activity warrants it, we may request evidence of source of funds or source of wealth (payslips, bank statements, sale contracts). Failure to provide satisfactory evidence may result in the return of funds to their origin and closure of the account.
Where required by law, suspicious activity is reported to the relevant financial intelligence unit. We retain KYC records and transaction data for at least five years after the end of the customer relationship. Tipping off a customer about an investigation is prohibited.
